CABINS - Check in: 4pm ~ Check out: 10am ~ CAMPGROUND - Check in & out: 12pm NOON
All visitors and overnight guest must register in Office. Visitor Fee is required ($5 per person, $3 Seniors 65+ & Children 12+). All visitors are requested to leave by 10 PM. Quiet hours are from 11 PM to 7 AM, strictly enforced. Please - no generators and no personal noise. Slow down, Relax! The posted speed limit is 5 mph for all vehicles. Picnic tables and fire rings are meant to be where they are . . . please do not move them! Many campers still prepare meals around the campfire. . . please make sure all trash makes it into receptacles, not the fire ring. Firewood is for sale at the office, or you are welcome to any downfall that is truly "dead and down" . . . but if you choose to cut any living or standing tree, you will be charged $100 per inch diameter. Please do not trench around your tent. No outside clothes lines, they are a hazard. The use of all terrain vehicles, firearms, and all fireworks is prohibited, including air, paintball, and dart guns and bows and arrows. Pets are welcome as long as the Pet Policy is signed. Please clean up after your pets. Baggies are available at the Office if you need them. All pets must be on leash. No pets are permitted in showerhouse. Fees apply for the pet-friendly cabins. Summersville Lake Retreat trys to keep all reservations for the guests for the site that they request, but there are times that Summersville Lake Retreat may have to move a reserved site to another site. We try in every way not to move a reserved site. Refunds are not made for changes in your plans or the weather . . . Understand that we cannot be held responsible for weather, illness, work schedules or other situations affecting our guests and therefore, enforce our cancellation policy regardless of circumstances. As with all adventure travel, we strongly recommend Travel Insurance. Summersville Lake Retreat shall not be held liable for the actions or activities of campers and guests. Campers assume responsibility for the safety of themselves, their family, guests and property. We take pride in our facilities and respect other camper's privacy and trust you do the same. At the end of the day, it all comes down to two things. . . "Use what you paid for and pay for what you use". Displaying considerate behavior so that your good times do not encroach on our other campers and guests. $200 Additional Cleaning Charges could apply to cabins left in disorderaly manner.
SPECIALS: All Specials are noted if they are for 2 or more people. You cannot add extra people to a reservation special that only included 2 people.
SEASONAL MINIMUMS: May thru October - 2 night minimum ~ Holidays - 3 night minimum during Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day
BOAT RENTAL RESERVATION POLICY
All motorized boat rentals require full payment when making a reservation. All boat captains shall be a licensed driver over the age of 25 years, with current vehicle insurance and $1,000 on a Mastercard/Visa/Discover for a damage security deposit and boater's safety card. Must have adequate tow vehicle with a class II hitch or better and have tow/trailer compentency. All passengers MUST sign a waiver/liability release form prior to boarding watercraft. A late return fee of $100/hour applied. Boat Captain is the only person that can drive the boat. Boat Captain shall be held financially responsible for any damage or loss to watercraft/equipment while in their care. No exceptions! Our Boats run Rain or Shine
. No refunds, we recommend travel insurance for this reason. You can obtain a lifetime boater's safety card from www.BoatSafe.com
or an Instructor can issue you a card for ONE DAY
the morning of your boat rental. Additonal fees applied for pet(s). Towing from boat, gas grills and alcohol are prohibited on boats, no exceptions.
Kayak and Canoe Rentals can be rented by any licensed driver 18 years or older with current vehicle insurance, (you will be transporting your boat to the lake) and $100 Security Deposit on a Mastercard, Visa or Discover for any damages or loss to watercraft/equipment while in your care. Paddles, lifejackets, foam blocks, tie downs and straps are all included in your rental.
CAMPING AND CABIN RESERVATION POLICY
All Camping and Cabin Reservations confirmed upon receipt of 50% down. Balance due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations made less than 30 days, requires full payment. We accept Mastercard/Visa/Discover. A $40 fee will be charged on all returned checks. Cabin Reservations must have a valid Mastercard/Visa/Discover/American Express Credit Card on file, in case of damages. Rates are subject to change without notice. All reservation rebookings or credit to account must be utilized within one calendar year from date of reservation.
Our internet provider has limits on our service plans. We provide access free of charge to allow our guests to look up local attractions, check email and perform basic tasks. Use of streaming video (i.e. utube, etc) and/or heavy downloads will exhaust our bandwith resulting in this service being discontinued. This type of useage shall be limited by all guests.
If you must cancel, you may choose between a rebooking or a 90% refund on cancellations made 30 days prior to date of reservation. On cancellations less than 30 days, you may receive either a Rebook or a 90% Refund, ONLY if re-rented for your entire reservation period.
No Refunds or rebooking on cancellations of 3 days or less.
RE-BOOKED Reservations are only good for the year the original reservation was made and initial reservation policies apply. Understand that we cannot be held responsible for weather, illness, work schedules, or other situations affecting our guests and therefore, enforce our cancellation policy regardless of circumstances. All reservation rebookings or credit to account must be utilized within one calendar year from date of reservation, it does not carry on year after year. For these reasons we strongly recommend travel insurance.
Pets are permitted in the campground and pet-friendly cabins. You must sign a Pet Waiver upon check in. A maximum of two (2) pets permitted. There is a $25 non refundable fee for each pet staying in the cabins. Pets shall be securely crated, with their needs met, if left unattended in the cabin.
Pets shall be restrained in public areas at all times on a sturdy leash not to exceed ten (10) feet in length. Guests must clean up after their pet(s) including the yard around the cabin. Pet food should be kept inside or not left unattended, to avoid unwanted wildlife. We love pets... but we know pets! For this reason, we also require a Mastercard/Visa/Discover/American Express Credit Card on file for any unforeseen circumstances that may occur in the cabins. We ask that all of our guests, respect our quiet hours 11pm to 7am.
