COVID 19 PANDEMIC UPDATE:

Summersville Lake Retreat has enhanced its health and safety measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic in order to better protect you, other campers, visitors and our staff.   We will require anyone on the property to follow the recommendations provided by the West Virginia Department of Health which can be found at https://dhhr.wv.gov/COVID-19 and the specific guidelines provided by the Office of the Governor located at https://governor.wv.gov/Pages/The-Comeback.aspx

An inherent risk of exposure to this highly contagious virus exists in any public place where people may gather. You must follow all posted rules and instructions concerning the COVID-19 virus while you are at the Retreat.  Summersville Lake Retreat may have limited access to certain amenities in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, please visit our website or call the Retreat for current information. By entering Summersville Lake Retreat, you voluntarily assume all risks of exposure to the COVID-19 virus.  Please help our campers enjoy this campground experience and the outdoors by adhering to all posted and supplied COVID-19 virus rules and instructions.

SUMMERSVILLE LAKE RETREAT POLICIES

Welcome to the Retreat!  These rules and regulations were established to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance, and to maximize the enjoyment of your time at Summersville Lake Retreat.  Enjoy!

All guests must follow the rules and regulations of the park.  Decisions of any staff member are final pertaining to noise, campfires and other infringements of the campground rules or unsafe acts/conditions.  Disrespect of authority, property or other guests is grounds for camper removal. Summersville Lake Retreat reserves the right to amend rules at any time.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE INFORMATION

Summersville Lake Retreat has an entry gatehouse and requires a gate code for entry.   Cabins have a coded entry lock.   Prior to your reservation you will receive an email and/or text with information and instructions on how to access the property.   Our staff is available on site to assist with your arrival during normal business hours of 9:00am to 6:00pm.   After hours a phone number will be listed at the gatehouse to call for emergencies. 

CHECK IN  Our Check-in time is 2:00pm or later for campsites and 4:00pm or later for cabins.   This allows for site maintenance and preparation prior to your arrival.   Early check-in may be available if arranged in advance (for an additional fee).   If you will check-in after 6:00pm your welcome packet will be available in the arrivals box at the entry gatehouse.  

 If you need to make special arrangements or require other assistance with check-in please call during normal business hours and we will do our best to accommodate you.  

CHECK OUT  Our check-out time is 11:00am for cabins and 12:00 noon for campsites.  If you check out before 9:00am you can just drop your parking pass in the departures box at the entry gatehouse to let us know you have left.   

Let us know in advance if you will be checking out of your campsite late.  To make sure we can prepare for incoming guests, late check-outs from campsites will be charged $25.00 per hour up until 3:00pm when a full additional night will be charged.  Due to high demand and the time required to prepare them for the next guest, we do not allow late check-outs from our cabins.  Cabin guests who do not vacate on time will be charged for an additional night.    

QUIET HOURS  Our quiet hours are from 10:00pm until 8:00am.  No loud music, generators, excessive noise, or bright exterior lighting may be operated during quiet hours. The playground closes at 9:00pm or dusk, whichever comes first. Children must return to your campsite during quiet hours.  No visitors during quiet hours. 

OCCUPANCY   Sites and Cabins have a maximum occupancy permitted.  Cabins, RV and tent sites have a maximum occupancy of 6 persons with the exception of cabins 4 and 5 which have a max occupancy of 8 persons.   Visitors and Unregistered guests are not permitted to stay overnight.

REGISTERED GUESTS  The registered guest responsible for the unit/site must be at least 18 years of age to reserve and rent a campsite and 25 years or older for cabins.   The person making the reservation must have a valid government issued photo identification.  The primary renter of the site is responsible for the actions and safety of the registered guests and visitors of the campsite and will be liable for any actions of or damages caused by these guests or visitors. Camping in any manner other than in assigned numbered site is prohibited. All camping equipment and associated materials must be located within the confines of the assigned site. Campground sites and facilities are provided for the exclusive use of the registered campers. 

VISITOR POLICY All persons not registered to site are considered visitors.  They must register at the office or gatehouse during business hours and receive a guest pass before entering the park.  There is a $10 charge per visitor and they must depart prior to 10:00pm or you will be charged for an additional overnight guest. 

PARKING  Limit of two vehicles per site (RVs may have one towed or towing vehicle, plus one additional car). Vehicles must display the provided parking tag. Vehicles without proper tags are subject to towing at owner’s expense. Vehicles must not block roads and must be in designated parking areas. The speed limit is 5 MPH and must be obeyed within the Retreat’s boundaries at all times.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • All cancellations for any reservation must be made by calling the office during normal business hours.  Email cancellations are not accepted.  
  • No refunds or credits for any site deposits for cancellations involving Holidays or other designated Special Event weekends.
  • Greater than 30 days notice must be given to receive a refund(less a $25 admin fee). 
  • Less than 30 days but greater than 14 days notice must be given to get a credit (less a $25 admin fee).
  • No refunds or credits with less than 14 days notice.
  • Credits must be used within one year of the date on which they are issued.
  • No refunds/credits are given for early departures or “no-shows”.

Please understand that we cannot be held responsible for weather, illness, work schedules, or other situations outside of our control and therefore, enforce our cancellation policy regardless of circumstances. SPECIFIC TO CABINS AND RENTAL UNITS

FIREPLACE The cabin Fireplace is gas, please refer to lighting instructions or contact housekeeping for assistance. Do not place anything in the fireplace and do not move the log configuration. 

HOUSEKEEPING  Housekeeping services are not provided during your stay unless requested at time of reservation. There will be an additional charge for various services, i.e. additional linen changes, etc. If additional housekeeping services are needed please contact the office. There is a mid-week linen change on weekly rentals.  Do not remove towels or linens from the rental units.  There is no need to strip beds or perform other cleaning tasks- housekeeping will take care of everything else. 

HOT TUBS Hot tubs should be entered at your own risk. The water quality of our hot tubs is routinely checked and treated with chemicals such as chlorine to aid in filtration.  A shower must be taken before and after entering a hot tub per guidelines of the WV Health Department. Please make sure the cover is on the hot tub before going to bed or leaving the property.  If you are staying for an extended time housekeeping will perform a routine check on the water quality of the hot tub for your continued enjoyment and safety.  We are not responsible for any damages of personal items placed or worn in the hot tub.   If you are unfamiliar with hot tub operation please refer to the instructions provided next to your hot tub or call the office for assistance.

PETS  Two dogs are allowed per cabin.   No cats or other animals are allowed other than service animals.  We welcome dogs but we do ask that your pet be housebroken and well-mannered.  If your dog is a barker, we ask that you keep it calm, or inside as much as possible. If your dog is wet, we asked that you do your best to dry them before letting them inside. If your pet is the shedding kind, please keep them off the beds and furniture. If your dog is going to be left alone, please notify us so we know they are there in case of an emergency.  Please understand the additional $25.00 nightly fee is necessary due to the extra cleaning and maintenance involved.   A separate pet agreement form is required with your reservation.

SMOKING AND OPEN FLAMES   Absolutely No Smoking, Vaping, Tobacco Use, Candles, Etc. inside the cabins or rental units. A cleaning fee of $200.00 will be charged to the credit card on file if there is evidence of smoking or use of candles in a cabin or rental unit.

UPON DEPARTURE We do not allow for late checkouts due to the time to prepare the cabins for our next guest.   Guests not vacating the unit by 11:00am will be charged for an additional night.  Prior to your departure please turn off all lights, fans and turn air conditioner to 75 in summer.  It is not necessary to strip off the linens off the beds. Used towels can be left in the bathroom hamper or on the floor.  All linens and towels are counted, so please do not take them with you. You may leave dirty dishes in the sink.   DO NOT move or remove any furnishings, accessories or linens from your cabin for any reason.

GENERAL FACILITY USE INFORMATION

ACCESSIBILITY  We have ADA accessible bathrooms on site, and an ADA cabin. Please call for additional information or with special requests.

AFTER-HOURS ASSISTANCE  For Emergencies, call 911. For urgent, immediate needs (plumbing issues, dangerous situations, unit access problems, etc.) between 6:00 PM and 9:00 AM, call the After Hours Assistance number listed in your packet or at the gatehouse.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES  All state/federal laws apply. Alcoholic beverage consumption is restricted to those 21 or older. Drink responsibly.

BICYCLES  No bicycle may be ridden in the campground after dark, unless it is equipped with lights on both front and rear and the lights are turned on while bike is being ridden. WV State Law requires that all children under the age of 15 years of age must wear helmets when riding their bicycles.

CAMPFIRES  Controlled campfires are encouraged and permitted in designated fire pits. Fires must be supervised while burning and then fully extinguished.  Only firewood purchased on site should be burned. Do not cut live trees for firewood or burn trash. Refer to the firewood section for further instruction.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY  Summersville Lake Retreat reserves the right to update Rules and Regulations at any time.  Any situation not directly covered by the rules will be addressed by a staff member.

CHILDREN  Children are welcome! Children should be directly supervised by an adult at all times. Parents/guardians are responsible for their children’s safety and behavior.

COMFORT STATION  Restroom and shower facilities are available on site. Due to Board of Health Regulations, animals are prohibited in the restrooms. The washing of any equipment, pets, clothing, cooking utensils, tableware, flatware, or any other cooking or eating paraphernalia is prohibited in comfort stations, bathhouses and washrooms. Please use outside utility sink or perform said duties at your campsite.  A sink for washing dishes is available outside the Comfort Station.   Please help us keep the restrooms and bathhouses clean and ready to use by others by picking up after yourself.  If there is water in the floor after your shower, please clean up after yourself.  Young children are not allowed in the restrooms or laundry without an adult present.  

CONSTRUCTION/MAINTENANCE  Certain sites and areas of the property may be closed for landscaping and maintenance throughout the season. For your safety, please respect all areas blocked off with cones, caution tape, or other restricted access markings.

FIREWOOD   Firewood cannot be transported into or used in this facility that has not been acquired at Summersville Lake Retreat, through either purchase or collection per recommendation of the West Virginia Division of Forestry. This greatly reduces the spread of forest diseases and insects and helps protect the park’s woodlands. Please help us in this preservation effort by adhering to the common sense rule.  Trimming of live trees, branches, and other native areas is prohibited. You are welcome to any downfall that is truly “dead and down”…but if you choose to cut any living or standing tree, you will be charged $100 per inch diameter.

FIREWORKS  Fireworks are prohibited on the Summersville Lake Retreat property.

GARBAGE  We strive to keep our grounds as clean as possible.  Help us by depositing your garbage and pet waste in the trash and recycling bins located throughout the property. Please do not burn trash, and please do not leave trash unattended outside on sites.

GRILLS  Propane grills are provided with cabins. Fire cooking is permitted in provided fire pits.  Personal charcoal and propane grills are permitted.  Please use responsibly.

INTERNET: Our internet provider has limits to service to our region although they are in process of upgrading us! We provide access free of charge to allow our guests to look up local attractions, check email and perform basic tasks. Use of streaming video (i.e. YouTube, etc) and/or heavy downloads will exhaust our bandwidth resulting in this service being severely limited. Please be considerate of this type of usage.

LEAVE NO TRACE  Summersville Lake Retreat is an outdoor resort that respects and values nature, we appreciate the support of our guests in practicing Leave No Trace (LNT) ethics. For more information on LNT, visit this website: https://lnt.org/

LAUNDRY Laundry facilities are not currently available on site.

MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION  ATV’s, UTV’s, Motorized Scooters, off road motorcycles, gas bicycles, and motorized skateboards/hoverboards are not permitted to be operated on the property. Electric golf carts are permitted for day use only by licensed drivers who must be able to provide proof of insurance. Please ride at safe speeds, stay on our roads only and operate only during daylight hours.

PETS  We love dogs and welcome your pet to stay with us!  To insure all of our guests enjoyment we do not allow aggressive, uncontrolled, or constantly barking dogs on the property.   Please make sure your dogs are well-mannered and under your control at all times for the safety of our other guests and their pets.   For all sites there is a limit of two dogs per site.   All dogs must be kept on a leash (not to exceed six feet) unless in the dog park or inside your unit.  Animal waste must be picked up by the pet owner.   Owners will be asked to remove aggressive, uncontrolled, or constantly barking dogs from the property.  If your dog is going to be left alone for a short time please insure that it is safe in your RV or tent and please notify us so we know they are there in case of an emergency.  We have dog crates available for rent if you need one.  We want you and your pet to have a memorable stay with us so we ask you to follow these simple rules.   Please let us know if there is anything we can help with to make your pets stay with us more enjoyable.   

PHOTOGRAPHY  Summersville Lake Retreat uses video surveillance for the security and protection of our guests.  We also use on-site candid photography for advertisements and promotions. Entrance onto this property constitutes permission to be photographed while on the premises and for any resulting photos to be used by Summersville Lake Retreat for lawful purposes without compensation or notification to the guest.

RIGHT TO REFUSE/EVICT/DENY ACCESS  Summersville Lake Retreat is privately owned. Management and staff is on site at all times and has reserves the right to refuse services, evict or deny access to anyone, under any circumstances deemed necessary, in accordance with applicable local, state and federal laws. There will be no refunds.  We will not tolerate any onerous, noxious or offensive activity of any sort that could interrupt or adversely affect the enjoyment of other parties utilizing the Retreat.

SMOKING Absolutely No Smoking, Vaping, Tobacco Use, Etc. in any buildings or structures on Summersville Lake Retreat property. 

STORAGE   Boat or boat trailer storage is offered to our guests for the duration of their stay, in the front field along the inside fence. A $5.00 per day charged will be assessed during this period and must be paid in full prior to storage.   Limited camper storage options may be available, inquire at the office.

 TENTS:  Primitive sites may have up to two tents per site. RV sites may have one tent per site. Cabins may not have tents on sites.

THEFT AND LOSS  Campers are responsible for securing their personal property, including, but not limited to, their campers and contents, vehicles, tents, or any other personal property. The campground, its owner, agents, and employees are not responsible or liable for theft or loss of any kind, nor damage caused by acts of God, fires, floods, windstorms, explosions, lightning strikes, accidents, or vandalism. Campers are responsible for maintaining insurance on their campers, vehicles, and personal property.

WASHING RVS AND CARS  RVs and cars may not be washed or rinsed on property. Our staff can direct you to the nearest appropriate facility.

WEAPONS   Unholstered handguns or other uncased weapons, including rifles, shotguns, and bows and arrows are prohibited at Summersville Lake Retreat.  Please keep all cased weapons locked in your vehicle.   No explosive materials or other dangerous substances are permitted. Discharging of any type of firearm or weapon, including pellet, BB, firearms, and Paint Ball is prohibited.   

WILDLIFE  Wildlife is abundant in the area and frequently can be seen from your campsite.   Wild animals should not be approached or fed within the Retreat boundaries.  Care should be used in the disposal of food and garbage to avoid wildlife encounters.

WAIVER AND INDEMNITY OF LIABILITY  Customer shall indemnify and hold Summersville Lake Retreat and it’s owners and employees harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising from any and all damages or injuries caused by fire, water, wind, civil strife, or acts of God, owner and / or customer actions or inactions (or those of their employees, agents, or invitees), or any other related to Customer’s use or occupation of the campsite, cabin, or rental unit, regardless of whether such loss was caused by the negligence of any of the customer’s parties.

AS A GUEST OF SUMMERSVILLE LAKE RETREAT, I FULLY UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT THESE RULES.

 

RESERVATION POLICY

DISCOUNTS  Senior Citizens (65 years or older) will receive a 10% discount with valid ID. We also give a 10% discount for all Good Sam members.  AAA and Military/First Responders with ID also get a 5% discount.  Discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or promotion.  Discounts apply to nightly rates only.

PAYMENT   A Visa, Discover, Mastercard, or American Express number is required for each reservation.  All reservations require payment in full.  See our cancellation policy for refund information.

SECURITY DEPOSITS Cabin rentals require payment in full plus a security deposit of $250.00.  The security deposit is to cover any intentional or unintentional damages to the rented property interior or exterior that occurs during your stay.  You will be responsible for any damage to real or personal property as a result of inadvertent acts or omissions.  Your security deposit may also be used to cover any intentional damage, theft, excessive cleaning, unintentional and incidental damage or pet damage.  Security Deposits will be reviewed and returned within 7 days following your departure. 

SEASONAL MINIMUMS  We require a minimum numbers of nights to be reserved based on the following schedule:   May thru October - 2 night minimum.   Off peak holidays - 2 night minimum (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve, Valentines Day, Easter) ~  In Peak holidays - 3 night minimum (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Bridge Day)

SITE GUARANTEES   Your Site # is subject to change prior to arrival, unless a site lock fee was paid during the time of booking.   We reserve the right to  modify site assignments based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, occupancy levels, mechanical issues, weather and maintenance needs.   Your specific site information will be sent to you via your preferred communication method (email or text) prior to your arrival.  

TRAVEL INSURANCE  We do recommend protecting your trip with a travel insurance company in case of inclement weather or any illnesses that might arise. We do not cancel reservations due to rain, thunderstorms, or illnesses. Please take a look at the plans offered by https://www.allianztravelinsurance.com  for more information. 

By accepting this reservation, Guest hereby waives, releases and discharges and covenants not to hold liable 4 Dog Resort, Inc dba Summersville Lake Retreat & Lighthouse (hereafter referred to as “SLR”)  for any and all claims and liability for personal injury, accidents, property damage, any other claim arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Further, Guest agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless SLR  from all losses, claims, expenses and demands, including attorneys’ fees, that SLR may incur arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Guest further agrees to be fully responsible and liable for the actions and safety of every person in their group. 

CABIN PET AGREEMENT

Welcome to Summersville Lake Retreat!   Our cabins are dog friendly and we look forward to having you and your pets stay with us.   As part of your visit we will stock your cabin with some items to make your dog(s) feel welcome and safe including dog specific bowls, clean-up bags, towels, and treats.   We love dogs and want to make sure they love their stay with us as much as you do.      

We have implemented a basic policy as follows to ensure that all guests enjoy their stay.  

  • Friendly Dogs are permitted at the Retreat and inside the cabins.  Aggressive, uncontrolled, or constantly barking dogs are not permitted.
  • A maximum of two dogs are allowed per cabin.   No cats or other animals are allowed other than service animals.
  • There is a $25.00 per night pet fee to accommodate the extra cleaning involved.   
  • We ask that your dog be housebroken and well-mannered.  If your dog is a barker, we ask that you keep it calm, or inside as much as possible. If your dog is wet, we asked that you do your best to dry them before letting them inside. If your dog is the shedding kind, please keep them off the beds and furniture.
  • Dogs may not be tied up outside the cabins or chained in the yard or on the porch. 
  • When outside of your cabin you must have your dog on a leash at all times other than in the dog park. 
  • Animal waste must be picked up by the pet owner.   If you need extra doggy clean up bags just let us know.
  • If your dog is going to be left alone for a short time please insure that it is safe in the cabin and please notify us so we know they are there in case of an emergency.  We have dog crates available for rent.    
  • Owners will be asked to remove aggressive, uncontrolled, or constantly barking dogs from the property.
  • By accepting this agreement and making a cabin reservation you agree and authorize your credit card on file to be charged for any damage to the cabins or its furnishings including linens.   You authorize your credit card on file to be charged for excessive cleaning required as a result of your dogs.  You agree to hold harmless Summersville Lake Retreat and its employees for any damage your pet(s) cause to other guests or their property.   You agree that Summersville Lake Retreat and its employees have no responsibility for the safety or care of your pet(s).   You agree to terminate your stay without refund should your pet(s) become aggressive or be deemed a nuisance to other guests.   

MOTORIZED BOAT RENTAL RESERVATION POLICY – updated -03.17.2021

  1. A Summersville Lake Retreat & Lighthouse (SLR) waiver/liability form must be completed/signed by every person who will be on the boat.  All minors must have parent or a legal guardian’s signature.
  2. All motorized boat rentals require FULL PAYMENT for rental plus security deposit when making a reservation.  Our Boats are available for rental Rain or Shine. There are no refunds or credits if you choose not to use the boat.  We recommend travel insurance for this reason.
  3. Pontoon Boat rental pickup is at 9am on the date of the rental.  Return of the boat is required by 6pm.  A late return fee of $100/hour will be applied.  There is an additional fee of $25.00 for up to 2 pets. 
  4. There is a firm maximum of 10 passengers plus 2 pets permitted on the pontoon boats.   Life jackets will be provided for all passengers.
  5. All Pontoon boat captains must be a licensed driver over the age of 25 years, with current vehicle insurance.  Boat Captains must have a current Boater’s safety card.  You can obtain a lifetime boater's safety card from www.BoatUS.org An on-site Instructor can issue you a card good for ONE DAY on the morning of your boat rental.   The assigned Boat Captain is the only person that can drive the boat. The Boat Captain shall be held financially responsible for any damage or loss to watercraft/equipment while in their care.
  6. Boat rental is for use of boat and trailer, you must provide a suitable vehicle to tow the vehicle to the boat ramp.   The person towing the boat to the marina must have an adequate tow vehicle with a class II hitch or better and have trailer towing competency.
  7. Prior to release of the boat on the day of the rental the Boat Captain must provide:
  • Copy of current driver’s license
  • Copy of current vehicle insurance for tow vehicle
  • Boaters Safety card
  • SLR signed waiver/liability form for all boat occupants
  • Signed safety checklist
  1. A safety checklist will be completed by SLR staff with the Boat Captain prior to departure covering information on Summersville Lake, local rules and regulations, location of lifejackets, safety equipment, safe boating/towing operation, and emergency contact information.   A walk around inspection will note any existing damage.   SLR staff will inspect tow vehicle and connect the boat trailer to the tow vehicle.   The boat trailer and tow vehicle should not be disconnected during the rental period.
  2. Upon return an inspection of the boat by SLR staff will be completed.  Once staff verifies that there is no damage or missing equipment the security deposit charge will be reversed from the credit card on file.   If damage has occurred, the security deposit will be held until costs for repairs can be assessed.  Any balance after repairs will be refunded.
  3. The following are not permitted on the boats:  Towing people from the boat.  Use of gas grills.  Use of alcohol.  
  4. Fuel is calculated when the boat is returned at the end of the day and will be automatically charged to the credit card on file. ($2.75 a gallon)

2021 BOAT RENTAL RATES

 Pontoon Boats  - 10 Passenger

$375.00 + tax for full day rental, pick up at 9am and return by 6pm same day.

Requires $1,000.00 security deposit on a major credit card

Additional $25 pet fee for up to 2 pets

$100 per hour late fee if returned after 6pm

NON-MOTORIZED BOAT RENTAL RESERVATION POLICY – updated 03.17.2021

  1. A Summersville Lake Retreat & Lighthouse (SLR) waiver/liability form must be completed/signed by every person who will be using the watercraft.  All minors must have parent or a legal guardian’s signature.
  2. All watercraft rentals require FULL PAYMENT for rental plus security deposit when making a reservation.  Our watercraft is available for rental Rain or Shine. No refunds, we recommend travel insurance for this reason.

Upon return SLR staff will complete an inspection of the watercraft.  Once staff verifies that there is no damage or missing equipment the security deposit charge will be reversed from the credit card on file.   If damage has occurred, the security deposit will be held until costs for repairs can be assessed.  Any balance after repairs will be refunded.
  4. SLR staff will assist with loading watercraft onto your vehicle and securing watercraft for safe travel to the lake.  You will be responsible for the safe handling and return of the watercraft and equipment to SLR at the end of your rental period.  
  5. Watercraft rentals are for a full day or half day.  Full day rentals start at 9am and end at 6pm.   Half day rentals can start at 9am and return by 2pm, or start at 1pm and return at 6pm.   Watercraft not returned on time will be charged an additional half day charge.  
  6. Rental equipment includes the watercraft, paddles, lifejackets, and vehicle mounting equipment.

*Full day rentals start at 9am and end at 6pm.   Half day rentals can start at 9am and return by 2pm, (or) start at 1pm and return by 6pm.   Watercraft not returned on time will be charged an additional half day charge.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • All cancellations for any reservation must be made by calling the office during normal business hours.  Email cancellations are not accepted.  
  • No refunds or credits for any site deposits for cancellations involving Holidays or other designated Special Event weekends.
  • Greater than 30 days notice must be given to receive a refund(less a $25 admin fee). 
  • Less than 30 days but greater than 14 days notice must be given to get a credit (less a $25 admin fee).
  • No refunds or credits with less than 14 days notice.
  • Credits must be used within one year of the date on which they are issued.
  • No refunds/credits are given for early departures or “no-shows”.

Please understand that we cannot be held responsible for weather, illness, work schedules, or other situations outside of our control and therefore, enforce our cancellation policy regardless of circumstances. COVID-19 POLICY

Summersville Lake Retreat has enhanced its health and safety measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic in order to better protect you, other campers, visitors and our staff.   We will require anyone on the property to follow the recommendations provided by the West Virginia Department of Health which can be found at https://dhhr.wv.gov/COVID-19 and the specific guidelines provided by the Office of the Governor located at https://governor.wv.gov/Pages/The-Comeback.aspx

An inherent risk of exposure to this highly contagious virus exists in any public place where people may gather. You must follow all posted rules and instructions concerning the COVID-19 virus while you are at the Retreat.  Summersville Lake Retreat may have limited access to certain amenities in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, please visit our website or call the Retreat for current information.
