Summersville Lake Pontoon Boat Rentals
Contact Free Boat Rentals
In response to the current COVID 19 situation, our pontoon boat rental procedure has been changed to conform to the social distancing guidelines set by the CDC and WV State Health Authorities. Rest assured that all of our watercraft and equipment is thoroughly disinfected/sanitized between every rental.
With our Office/Gift Shop now having a maximum occupancy of two (2) people at a time, following the contact free check in process to pick up your pontoon boat will ensure that you and your crew will be able to spend most of your time where you want to be…out on the lake!
Please download liability releases from the boat rental page of our website to be completed/signed by every member of your crew prior to the day of arrival and dated for the day of rental. All minors must have parent or legal guardian’s signature.
Read, sign, scan or copy releases into an email and send to our office prior to arrival which minimizes the amount of paper that needs to be done the morning of your rental. Pre-arrangement of the rental deposit along with copies of the Boat Captains and/or the person towing the watercraft’s drivers license and vehicle insurance card sure will speed things up in the morning also.
Allowing your crew to form a line to enter the gift shop in the morning will not be conducive to getting your watercraft out on the water in a timely fashion. We suggest encouraging them to browse the shop when you return in the afternoon. We will be extending out gift shop hours in the evenings on busy weekends to accommodate that last minute tshirt or whatever catches your eye to take home a memory of a great day that you and your crew had on Summersville Lake.
Search from among spectacular cliffs and coves for that perfect spot to play... or find your own private vantage point to kick back and take in the scenery, from aboard the deck of our New Bennington Pontoon Boats. The best all around family friendly watercraft in our rental fleet, these “floating patios” provide unbeatable comfort and elbow room. With bimini tops and gated enclosed railings, toddlers feel safe while exploring the outdoors.
Spacious seating and deck areas are very suitable for diving and climbing groups and we encourage folks to play hard. All of our watercraft are clean and well equipped with plush upholstered sun decks, and boarding ladders. We also provide properly sized life jackets for everyone on board and any necessary safety equipment and instruction to ensure a safe and memorable day on the water. Towing from boat, gas grills and alcohol are prohibited on boats, no exceptions. All boating participants are required to sign a liability release waiver prior to boarding watercraft. We are pet friendly (additional fee). Our Boats run Rain or Shine. No refunds or credit given for changes in your plans or the weather, we do however recommend traveler's insurance.
All motorized Boat Captains in the state of West Virginia must present a safe boater course completion certificate, or attend an onsite boater safety orientation and an instructor can issue you a safe boater certificate valid for the day of your rental. You can also go online at www.boatus.org/westvirginia for a free course.
All Boat Captains shall be a licensed driver over the age of 25 years, with current vehicle insurance, $1,000 on a Mastercard, VISA, Discover or American Express for a damage deposit that will be pre-authorized before your rental. Must have adequate tow vehicle with a Class II hitch or better and have tow/trailer competency.
