A Summersville Lake Retreat & Lighthouse (SLR) waiver/liability form must be completed/signed by every person who will be using the watercraft. All minors must have parent or a legal guardian’s signature.

All watercraft rentals require FULL PAYMENT for rental plus security deposit when making a reservation. Our watercraft is available for rental Rain or Shine. No refunds, we recommend travel insurance for this reason.

Upon return SLR staff will complete an inspection of the watercraft. Once staff verifies that there is no damage or missing equipment the security deposit charge will be reversed from the credit card on file. If damage or loss of equipment (i.e. paddles, life jackets) has occurred, the security deposit will be held until costs for repairs or replacement can be assessed. Any balance after repairs will be refunded.

SLR staff will assist with loading watercraft onto your vehicle and securing watercraft for safe travel to the lake. You will be responsible for the safe handling and return of the watercraft and equipment to SLR at the end of your rental period.

Watercraft rentals are for a full day or half day. Full day rentals start at 9am and end at 5pm. Half day rentals are for 5 hours but must return by 5pm. Watercraft not returned on time will be charged a $25 late fee.

Rental equipment includes the watercraft, paddles, lifejackets, and vehicle mounting equipment.
