Vintage Campers
Glamping in Style! Want a weekend away without the hassle of bringing a tent or your own camper? We now have 4 vintage campers from the 60’s and early 70’s. “Glamping” or “glamorous camping” is camping that includes some of the creature comforts from home but with the same access to nature as traditional camping. Our vintage campers are permanently situated in our north forest area and sit back from the road to give you plenty of private space. They are all tiny but you can choose from a Betty our 1963 Shasta, Wilma our 1969 Holiday Rambler or Shirley our 1964 Joy camper. Our campers have been carefully renovated to make your stay comfortable for 2 adults including a bed with linens, table and chairs, refrigerator, microwave and electric outlets. Outside you have seating areas and a firepit. There is no running water or bathroom in these campers but a central bathroom with water is located right across the path. Wifi doesn’t work in the woods but you will have cell phone reception. All of campers are dog friendly and work best with smaller pets under 30lbs. Our vintage camper area is located right across from our forest firepit and hammock hangout. Of course you are just a short walk from our showerhouse, playground, and trails. We have onsite housekeeping that ensures your camper is clean and ready when you arrive. We offer free delivery of firewood and ice from our store too!
Hammock Hangout
COMING IN SUMMER 2022! Stare up into the sky through a canopy of trees and enjoy a good book, listen to your headphones, or take a nap, the choice is yours. Our Hammock Hangout area provides a variety of hammocks, swinging chairs, seating areas, and tables to allow you to relax and recharge. Located adjacent to our tiny cabins and vintage campers in our north forest area.
The Farmhouse Cabin
NOW AVAILABLE! The Farmhouse is our lonesome cabin situated by itself in our east valley behind the old farmstead that our campground is built on. The Farmhouse is the closest of all of our cabins to the lighthouse. Sitting up on a hill you have great views down into the “holler” from your spacious front deck. This is glamping at its finest with a queen bed, futon couch, refrigerator, microwave, ceiling fans, and central heat and AC. We include the linens and pillows too. With the bed and futon couch there is space for 4 adults. While there is no indoor plumbing or water in the Farmhouse you are just a short walk from our main bathrooms and shower house. Outside, the deck has a great seating area and separate private firepit. You’ll also have a private one-car parking space just a few steps down the hill in front of your cabin. We have onsite housekeeping that ensures your cabin is clean and ready when you arrive. We offer free delivery of firewood and ice from our store too! * Our rates vary by cabin or camper and are based on a two person occupancy. NOW AVAILABLE! Our new 200 sq ft tiny Amish-built cabins are ready for your vacation getaway at Summersville Lake. Each has a different elemental theme – you can choose earth, air, fire or water. These are designed with the “glamper” in mind – it is still camping in nature but now you have a comfy place to sleep and a roof over your head. With plenty of access to nature these are situated in our private north forest area under a canopy of trees with outside decks, firepits, and seating and your own parking space. The view out every window is trees and beautiful scenery. Each tiny cabin has a queen bed, futon couch/bed, and loft for the kids including pillows and linens.
