Step back in time with our collection of four lovingly restored vintage campers, tucked away in the shaded north forest at Summersville Lake Retreat. Each one has its own personality and charm, but all come ready for a comfortable glamping experience — with a private deck, vintage chairs, firepit, mini-fridge, microwave, linens, and free firewood and ice delivery from our store. No roughing it here! Please note that our vintage campers do not have running water or bathrooms, but a central bathroom is located just across the road. No AC or heat, but ceiling fans and fresh mountain air keep things perfectly comfortable. All campers are dog friendly. Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 11AM. Rates are based on two person occupancy with additional charges for extra guests or pets.
Holidays:
Laverne is a 1971 Fan Travel Trailer that sleeps up to 4 — perfect for a couple or family with small children. She features a queen bed in the rear and a convertible full-size couch up front. Her retro kitchen includes a mini-fridge, microwave, small table and bar stools. Well insulated with two ceiling fans, she stays comfortable all summer. Note there is a short downhill walk on a gravel path from your parking space to Laverne.
Betty is a 1963 Shasta Vintage Camper and an absolute classic. She sleeps up to 2 in a cozy full bed with fresh linens and has room for a small pup too. We’ve lovingly preserved her retro character while upgrading the lighting and electrical. Betty also holds the title of most accessible of our vintage campers, with the easiest parking and access to her pad. Her private deck, vintage chairs, and firepit make evenings here pure magic.
Wilma is a 1971 Holiday Rambler Travel Trailer with all the style of a classic road tripper. She sleeps up to 4 with a queen bed in the rear and a convertible full-size couch up front, plus a retro kitchen with mini-fridge, microwave, and bar seating. Two remote-controlled ceiling fans keep her cool and comfortable. Like Laverne, there is a short downhill walk on a gravel path from parking to Wilma — keep that in mind when booking.
Penny is a 1972 Scotty Vintage Camper with all the retro charm you could ask for. She sleeps up to 2 in a super comfy full bed and even has room for a small dog or two. We’ve kept her as close to original as possible while adding a few modern comforts. Her screened windows and remote-controlled ceiling fan keep things cool and breezy. She sits on her own private pad in our shaded north forest with a deck, vintage chairs, and a private firepit waiting for you.
