Dear Guests,
Trademark Hospitality….it’s more to us than just a slogan, it’s a way of life. Our lofty goal for Summersville Lake Retreat is for every one of our guests to say that this is the best place that they have ever stayed. We think we have what it takes to meet that expectation starting with our friendly and helpful staff that do what it takes to make sure you enjoy your stay. We live and play in this beautiful area and will treat you like family during your time with us.
The area surrounding Summersville Lake Retreat is an adventure lovers dream with some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Every day we serve as a base camp for adventurers who are climbing, boating, hiking, white water rafting, swimming, fishing, biking, taking photos, and exploring the area. Within a 15 mile radius of us we have all of that and more. We will help suggest some great things to do during your stay and you can still be back relaxing in our comfortable Adirondack chairs around your fire every night.

For the 5th year in a row we were voted Best Campground in West Virginia and we are in the Top Ten nationally as a Glamping campground! We were recently recognized as a ‘Best of the Best Campgrounds’ by RV Life. Come see what everyone is talking about. Great location, awesome amenities, and lots of fun.
If you are just looking to relax during your stay, our property expands beyond your spacious campsite or cabin with 57 acres of things to do from just taking a stroll with your dog to playing one of our numerous games such as cornhole, horseshoes, or table tennis. Your kids will love our giant wooden pirate ship and playground. And of course some of the best views can be found by a visit to the top of our lighthouse. We aren’t done there, we have lots of projects underway in our constant endeavor to make this the best place you have ever stayed.
Want some great food or entertainment? We can help with that too. There are numerous fantastic restaurants, breweries, wineries, and ice cream shoppes in the area. Tell us what you are in the mood for and we will help steer you to the right spot.
