Summersville Lake Retreat, located in the heart of West Virginia’s Mountain Lakes Region, is situated between the Gauley River National Recreation Area and the shores of Summersville Lake. Easily accessible off of U.S. 19 in Nicholas County, you will find us nestled among acres of forested ridges and grassland meadows where the transition to a more relaxing pace begins.
We offer a variety of accommodations to suit most any vacation plans, from fully equipped Vacation Rental Cabins to Deluxe Big Rig Friendly Pull Thru Sites with WiFi overlooking the lake, Full Hook Up RV Sites, Water/Electric Sites and Tent Camping Sites. Additional amenities include playground, horseshoe pits, cornhole, tetherball, and clean restrooms with hot showers. We also offer pontoon boat, fishing boat, kayak and canoe rentals.

Summersville Lake Retreat Cabins
Nestled into the forests, surrounding West Virginia’s largest lake, our cabins are constructed using green methods and materials. Native Hemlock was harvested right from the site and milled into cabins, then thoughtfully furnished with everything that you may need to make your stay a comfortable one.
The A-Frame great room is a combination kitchen, living and dining area with balcony loft, perfect for family gatherings. Tastefully decorated to complement your stay at the lake, you’ll be surprised at the amenities provided. Browse through a selection of books and games, or just kick back and enjoy those quiet moments between warm conversation among friends. For those of you that just can’t miss the game, satellite TV and entertainment systems are set up and easy to use.
